To promote the premiere of the upcoming 25th anniversary season of South Park, the notably risqué theme song for the adult animated series was reimagined for an orchestral performance! The orchestra is conducted by Broadway's Stephen Oremus, who won a Tony Award for his orchestrations for The Book of Mormon, the musical written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

BroadwayWorld has learned that due to prior commitments, Marlee Matlin and Camryn Manheim will play their final performances in Deaf West Theatre's Broadway production of SPRING AWAKENING on January 10, 2016. Their roles will be filled by Alexandria Wailes and Elizabeth Greene, respectively, and the show will close on January 24 as scheduled.

An interactive American Sign Language experience will be held at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre prior to the Tuesday, December 1st performance of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Producer and Deaf West Theatre Artistic Director D.J. Kurs, along with members of the cast, will lead an inside look into the process of translating the lyrics of Spring Awakening into American Sign Language. Signed words and lyrics from the show will be taught, followed by a sing- and sign-along.

Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING Adds Two More Weeks to Broadway Run

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that an extra two weeks of performances for Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening have been added to the current Broadway run. The limited engagement will now run through Sunday, January 24 only at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Spring Awakening is currently in previews and will open Sunday, September 27.
