Rabbi Steven Lebow, of Temple Kol Emeth - Marietta, Georgia who has fought for Leo Frank's exoneration for decades, will be available via Skype after TYA's Sunday June 12 matinee performance for a Talkback with the audience and cast. He has graciously agreed to answer questions about the case and discuss why the Leo Frank story is important today. Also on stage will be TYA Parade cast members who will share how playing real-life people so intimately involved in this tragic story, has impacted their lives. Drama Learning Center's teen professional company will present Bring It On the Musical next month. Based on the major motion picture franchise of the same name, Bring It On the Musical follows would-be cheer captain Campbell as she is suspiciously re-districted from preppy Truman High to the hard-knock Jackson High. Against the odds, Campbell befriends the head of Jackson's dance crew, Danielle. Together, they form a powerhouse cheerleading squad to stand toe-to-toe with Campbell's old team while they learn about the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness.
Red Branch Theatre Company will host a family friendly production of Bunnicula from October 26th to 28th Drama Learning Center. The weekend will include kid-friendly Halloween fun including a Parents' Night Out Pajama Party on Friday, October 26th, Family Fun ticket packages for Saturday and Sunday matinees, and Halloween costume contests and prizes.
