Pacino, Ferguson & Martin Lead Shakespeare In The Park 2010, Previews 6/9

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin Shakespeare in the Park performances on Wednesday, June 9 with the first preview of THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Michael Greif. THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, directed by Daniel Sullivan, will begin performances on Saturday, June 12. Both shows will play in repertory through Sunday, August 1 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

L.A. Theatre Works Airs CAKEWALK, Begins 6/12

Beginning Saturday, June 12, L.A. Theatre Works Radio Theatre Series will air Cakewalk. Broadway legend Elaine Stritch and Oscar nominee Bruce Davison star in Peter Feibleman's memory play about his tumultuous May-December relationship with literary legend Lillian Hellman.

The Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is proud to announce casting for its production of Peter Pan. Directed by Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Patti Colombo, Peter Pan will run at the Millburn Theater from June 2 through June 27, 2010. The production will open for the press on June 6. Peter Pan is generously supported by a gift from Allen and Joan Bildner and supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata (BRO) will play Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette) on Tuesday, June 1 at 7:00 & 9:30 PM. BRO, a instrumental quartet led by Peter Kiesewalter,will perform 'The Hills Are Alive' a bold interpretation of Roger & Hammerstein's Sound of Music score. Shakespeare Salon Presents Making Shakespeare In The Park With Ferguson, Lind 5/24

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will continue its popular Shakespeare Salon series on Monday, May 24 at 6 p.m. Shakespeare Initiative Director Barry Edelstein will moderate a discussion on 'Making Shakespeare in the Park: Onstage and Backstage,' featuring a cross-section of cast, crew and creative team members from this summer's repertory productions of The Winter's Tale and The Merchant of Venice at Shakespeare in the Park.
