Theatre Aspen announced casting for the organization's 35th Anniversary Season, which includes Ragtime, Godspell, and Our Town today. This season's productions promise to bring world class theatre dramatically closer by presenting talent from Broadway, national tours, and training programs from across the country.

Plano Youth Theatre is proud to present 'Godspell' March 30-April 1 at North Texas Performing Arts - Plano. The cast is focusing on a theme of love and teamwork as they rehearse and prepare this production.

Newnan Theatre Company is proud to announce the opening of Godspell, the world-renown musical by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak, on March 9 and running through March 19. The musical is based on the Gospel According to Matthew. The best-known song from the show, Day By Day, holds the honor of being one of only a few Broadway musical songs to reach the Billboard pop singles chart when it reached #13 in the summer of 1972.

Liz Callaway, the Emmy Award-winning actress, singer and recording artist is set to perform as part of The Acting Company's annual gala.

Godspell features the talents of Wesley King as Jesus, Elliott Robinson in the dual role of John-Judas. Playing themselves as "disciples" are Keeton Theatre regulars Tonya Pewitt, Stella London, Christina Redden, Santyana Harris, plus two newcomers to the Keeton Theatre family: Lisa Graham and Rachel Wilson.

Martin, Billy Porter, David Rockefeller, Jr., and Stephen DeRosa more honored NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Dean Emerita Mary Schmidt Campbell and Municipal Arts Society's President Vin Cipolla at The Acting Company's Gala on November 17 at 360 Degrees Tribeca. Nathan Lane, Harold Prince, Angela Lansbury, Laura Osnes, Harriet Harris, Kate Burton, Kristine Nielsen, Alfred Uhry will salute actress Dana Ivey and arts patron Barbara Fleischman at The Acting Company's Gala on Monday, October 21 at Capitale. Ms. Ivey will receive the John Houseman Award recognizing her profound commitment to the development of American actors and a national audience for the theater. Ms. Fleischman will be presented the Warburg Humanitarian Award for her outstanding philanthropic endeavor and support of the arts. Harriet Harris (Cinderella) and Barclay Collins are Gala Chairs, Nathan Lane (The Nance) and Hal Prince (21 Tony Award winner) will present the awards; Stephen DeRosa (Boardwalk Empire) will host, Laura Osnes (Cinderella) will perform. Tributes will be offered by a host of celebrities. Three hundred guests complete an industry-filled audience of producers, directors, entertainers and other notables including TheHonorable Thomas Kean, record producer Clive Davis, playwrights Alfred Uhry and Elizabeth Egloff, actresses Angela Lansbury (upcoming in London's Blithe Spirit), Debra Monk (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Kate Burton (Scandal), Kristine Nielsen(Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and Patricia Conolly, directors Nicholas Martin (Vanya and Sonia and Masha an Spike),Jack O'Brien (Macbeth), Mark Lamos (Harbor) and Walter Bobbie (Venus in Fur) and producers Jack Viertel, James Houghtonand Edgar Lansbury.

Opening the season is the hilarious dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring, a play that the New York Times called 'so funny that none of us will ever forget it.' Everyone who likes a good laugh has heard about the sweet maiden aunts who poison people and the brother who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt. Arsenic and Old Lace is a comedy that will be remembered for many years to come, and A. D. Players proudly presents it this fall.

GODSPELL, the new production of the 1977 Tony Award®-nominated Broadway musical, opens January 24, 2013 at the Centaur Theatre (453 St. Francois-Xavier). The show will run for two weeks, from January 24-26, and January 31 - February 2, 2013.
