John Doyle to Stage Revival of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG in Cincinnati

From the Top and Carnegie Hall today announced that 17-year-old percussionist Marcelina Suchocka from Chicago, Illinois has been selected by the public as the Grand Prize Winner of Big Break, a new online contest for young American musicians. Launched earlier this fall, Big Break offered young musicians the chance to compete for a spot on a special episode of NPR's From the Top national radio broadcast, hosted by Christopher O'Riley, as well as the opportunity to grace the stage at Carnegie Hall, performing in a Carnegie Hall Family Concert in Zankel Hall in April 2011.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces that Michael Halberstam of Writers' Theatre is the recipient of the 2010 Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through singular creativity and artistry in theatre. The award heralds accomplishment to date and promise for the future, artistic vision, and deep commitment to a region outside of New York.
