SF Recovery Theater Marks Its 20th Season With REFLECTIONS IN BLACK 2018

On June 1, 2018 The SF Recovery Theatre will commemorate their 20th Annual Season with a new production of Reflections In Black 2018, a collection of scenes by African American writers, featuring an African American cast, which examines what it means to be Black in the United States. Being staged in the heart of the Tenderloin at PianoFight, 144 Taylor Street, Reflections In Black 2018 runs every Friday and Saturday at 7pm, from June 1 through June 16. Tickets are free to Tenderloin residents, or $20 for the general public and can be reserved at www.pianofight.com.

Book Event Panel Discussion On 'The Art Of Creativity' Comes to The Lambs, 3/12

The Unique Panel Discussion will celebrate a new book by Ronald Rand, "CREATE! Hollyhock House presents a J.U.S.T. Toys Production FEFU AND HER FRIENDS

This May, in celebration of Frank Lloyd Wright's 150th anniversary, UNESCO World Heritage List-nominated Hollyhock House presents a J.U.S.T. Toys Production in association withCircle X Theatre Co. of a very unique immersive event, FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, written by Maria Irene Fornes, with choreography by Zsofia Nemes, musical composition by Daniel Szabo and directed by Kate Jopson. FEFU AND HER FREIENDS is the first play EVER to be performed at the iconic house, which is located in the heart of Barnsdall Art Park, a vibrant, artistic and recreational destination. With just 20 guests admitted to each of the 12 performances, attendees will enjoy a truly intimate front row experience at the play, which previews on Thursday, May 4; with a press opening on Friday, May 5 at 8pm and runs through Sunday, May 28 (4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, 90027).

Playwrights of Color to Take the Spotlight in 2017 Readings at Court Theatre

Court Theatre, under the leadership of Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert, announces the 2017 lineup for the Spotlight Reading Series, a multi-year community outreach initiative that aims to expose communities beyond Hyde Park to theatre arts, focusing specifically on works from outside of the canon of classic theater.
