Town Hall Theater's 5th Benefit Birthday Gala will be held on Saturday, June 22. Performances are at 5 pm and 8 pm, with a street party between the two shows. Tickets are $35, and include the show and food at the street dance. The gala will give THT a great start as it heads into the next five years.

This Wednesday, June 5th, seven-time Emmy Award winning star, Ed Asner (Lou Grant on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' and 'Lou Grant') will be interviewed on 'Theatre Chat and This and That' from Brooksville, Fla.

According to the Associated Press, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has selected its new president -- Broadway producer Jed Bernstein, who led the Broadway League from 1995-2006. Bernstein will replace current leader Reynold Levy.

The Second City will host a free event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Playwrights Theatre Club on Sunday, June 23, 2013 in UP Comedy Club (230 W. North Ave, 2nd Floor of Piper's Alley) at 3:00 p.m. This special event will reunite the original members of The Playwrights Theatre Club, which was the precursor to The Compass and The Second City.

Center Theatre Group Producing Director Douglas C. Baker was honored recently by The Broadway League with an award of excellence that recognizes those who have displayed exemplary service to the Broadway industry and are considered innovators of their craft.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) will host their 17th Hall of Fame Luncheon on Tuesday, May 14th in the Allen Theatre at PlayhouseSquare. This year's honorees have contributed to the success of CPH through many different avenues, and their professional accomplishments have accentuated CPH's proud history. This year's recipients include Dorothy and Frank Draz, Dee Hoty, Barclay Leathem and Jack Weston. Also being recognized is The Women's Committee of Cleveland Play House, which will be presented with the Heritage Award by Roe Green for their contributions to CPH.

FESTIVAL., adds comedy, infuses a little intrigue, and takes a 21st century twist.

The World Premiere new musical PARADISE, is extending through May 4th, 2013, at Ruskin Group Theatre, 3000 Airport Avenue, Santa Monica, Calif. The run will take a hiatus from March 31st - April 12th, no performance on April 28th. TV Land announced today that the ladies of 'Hot in Cleveland' will soon be getting some special visitors in town as Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper and Cloris Leachman reunite with their co-star of 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show,' Betty White. The casting news comes just weeks after Harper's diagnosis in January of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare and incurable form of brain cancer.

According to TMZ, Ed Asner, who most recently appeard on Broadway in GRACE, was taken to the hospital yesterday in Gary, Indiana during a performance of FDR. The 83-year-old, was 15 minutes into the one-man play when crew members helped him off stage, noticing that he was having trouble with his lines. There is no word yet on his current health status.
