Mad World Productions presents the World Premiere of 'When It Rains Gasoline,' written by Jason D. Martin, chronicling the massive emotional insecurities and social compromises of a group of Columbine-generation teens, navigating the treacherous waters of adolescence. Directing is Jason D. Martin. Willie Wood, an aspiring playwright from Westfield has spent more than a year working diligently on a script for a show inspired by singer June Christy's 1954's landmark jazz vocal, Something Cool. On June 24th, five young actors will bring Wood's script to life on the stage of the Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace.

Sweeping views of the City served as a backdrop last Monday evening when Ginger and Moshi Alafi hosted an exclusive event for high level supporters to the SF Playhouse and Bill English, Artistic Director announced plans for their eighth season of award winning theatre. The SF Playhouse has set an enviable standard for theatre production and in the process has attracted the Bay Area's best talent to its stage; this season will continue that trend.

Due to rights issues, Flux Theatre Ensemble will not be producing Archibald MacLeish's play, J.B. as previously planned. In its place, Flux will be staging the world premiere of August Schulenburg's JACOB'S HOUSE, a play inspired by the loss of J.B. Playwright August Schulenburg has taken the themes, style, design elements, staging concept, and cast from Flux's planned production of J.B., and used them as inspiration to write his own unique riff on the story of Jacob wrestling the Angel.

WHORING IS HARD WORK. And now the competition is about to get stiffer with the influx of the newly jobless. Whore Works takes a sharp, witty, balls-out look at a black male hooker's day-to-night struggle with hating and sometimes loving men who are paying him to, well.........you know.
