Each season, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company lives up to the challenge of producing a schedule that appeals to its wide-ranging and devoted audience. Family-friendly events, blockbuster musicals, and masterworks are off-set by critically-acclaimed contemporary plays and performances. Fresh from an extended Off-Broadway run, Murder for Two is one of these remarkable pickups, just in time for the Company's 80th anniversary season! It opens August 11 on Weston's second stage. Two actors play thirteen roles - and one piano - delivering 90 minutes of music, mayhem, and murder. Come along for the ride as small town cop Marcus Moscowicz desperately tries to solve the murder of Great American Novelist Arthur Whitney before the real detective shows up.

Clap your hands if you can believe it, the Tony Award-winning musical production 'Peter Pan' soars back to Moonlight Amphitheatre from July 20, 2016 to Aug. 6, 2016 at 8 p.m. The classic, family favorite production hit the Broadway stage in 1954 and has since been adapted for the movie screen several times for more than 60 years. The original Broadway production and revivals received nine Tony Award nominations with the most recent in 1999 for Best Revival of a Musical. The Moonlight production features the sets and costumes of the famous Cathy Rigby production, including spectacular flying effects. San Diego Musical Theatre (SDMT) continues their 2016 season with the musical comedy classic 42ND STREET today, May 27. This Tony Award-winning musical features music and lyrics by Harry Warren and Al Dubin, book by Michael Stewart (Hello Dolly, Bye Bye Birdie) and Mark Bramble (Barnum), directed by James Vasquez. Performances run through June 12, 2016 at the historic Spreckels Theatre. Press opening is Saturday, May 28th at 8:00PM.
