Milwaukee's First Stage makes the ears available in their Todd Wehr Theater lobby when the company presents, Shrek,The Musical to open their 2013-2014 season. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) has joined all other studios in adopting the Producers Mark certification process and will begin implementing the on-screen credit on all films. The “Produced by” credit certification protects the integrity of one of the most challenging and enduring roles in feature film production, clearly verifying which individuals did the majority of the producing work on a film while also establishing an authentic seal of approval. Once a producer's work on a film is certified by the Producers Guild, the “Produced by” credit and producer's name will be followed by the distinctive mark: “p.g.a.” The announcement was made today by PGA presidents Mark Gordon and Hawk Koch.

The Dolphin Show at Northwestern University, America's largest student-produced musical, is proud to announce SHREK THE MUSICAL as the 72nd Annual Dolphin Show. This year's production is to be produced by School of Communication seniors Brandon Johnston and Rachel Marchant and directed by Communication senior Marlee Rose Rich. SHREK will hold five performances from January 24 through February 1st, 2014, with auditions being held October 4-6, 2013.

DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced today a $50,000 donation to the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), a non-profit organization whose mission is to support school music and arts programs. In celebration of the soon to be released Blu-ray and DVD of the Tony Award winning production of Shrek the Musical, the donation will be used to create five $10,000 grants to help save music and arts programs in schools. Schools are invited to enter starting today to receive a grant for their school music program at www.ShrekDay.com. All entries must be received by October 31, 2013 and following a random drawing, five schools will be announced as winners on November 4, 2013.
