DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions today announced that SHREK THE MUSICAL will end its run at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on Sunday 24 February 2013.
According to the Daily Mail, Shrek - The Musical is set to close at the West End's Drury Lane Theatre in February 2013 to make way for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical adaptation, directed by Sam Mendes and produced by Warner Bros Theatre Ventures and Neal Street Productions.

Scheduled to perform are Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde); Ali Ewoldt (Les Miserables); Alyssa Fox (Wicked - SF); Julie Reiber (Wicked); A.J. Carley Stenson has begun rehearsals for the role of Princess Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL® at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Carley's first performance will be on May 23, 2012. SHREK THE MUSICAL® currently stars Dean Chisnall as Shrek, Richard Blackwood as Donkey, Neil McDermott as Lord Farquaad and Kimberley Walsh as Princess Fiona.
