Broadway Entertainment Group FZ LLC and NETworks Presentations LLC are pleased to announce their first ever, global tour of the English language production of SHREK THE MUSICAL with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.  The production begins its journey in Istanbul, Turkey on the 22nd January, 2016 and will tour to diverse markets including Europe, the Middle East and Asia to cities including; Abu Dhabi, Jakarta and Singapore to name a few. 

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the success of the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt which was part of Bay Street Theater's 24th Annual Summer Gala which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 11, 2015 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. ThePrince of Egypt features book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked,Pippin, Godspell); both creators attended the Gala. Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz directed the reading, Dominic Amendum was Musical Director, and casting was by Stewart/Whitley.

BroadwayWorld previously announced that Bay Street Theater & Dreamworks Theatricals would be presenting a concert reading of the musical adaptation of THE PRINCE OF EGYPT today, July 11. Featuring book by Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas), and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, The Hunchback of Notre Dame), the concert stars Norm Lewis and Aaron Lazar. CLAUDIO QUEST, a super new musical, receives its New York premiere this July as part of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival. With a book, music and lyrics Drew Fornarola and Marshall Pailet and direction by Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), CLAUDIO QUEST begins performances July 7, 2015 at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Theatre and runs through July 14, 2015.  Individual tickets go on sale Monday, June 15 and can be purchased at www.claudioquest.com.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.
