The plays will be staged in an Upper West Side apartment to be disclosed to patrons who make reservations in advance. Seating is strictly limited to ten people per night.
George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that New Jersey native John Tartaglia, from the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q, as well as TV's Sesame Street and the Emmy Award - nominated Johnny and the Sprites will be appearing in New Brunswick as the sole cast member of Buyer & Cellar, the fourth production of the New Brunswick theatre's current season. Mr. Tartaglia will take the fictional journey to the fictional version of Barbra Streisand's fictional basement beginning March 3 through March 29. Opening night is set for Friday, March 6. Capital Stage continues it's 10th Anniversary season with the 2014 Glickman Award Winner for Best New Play, IDEATION by San Francisco playwright Aaron Loeb. A psychological suspense thriller in which a group of corporate consultants work together on a mysterious and ethically ambiguous project, IDEATION received its world premiere at San Francisco Playhouse in 2013. CapStage's production will be the second staging of this celebrated new play. CapStage and Loeb previously collaborated in 2008 on the Sacramento premiere of his play, FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. IDEATION will run now through February 22 with a Press Opening tonight, January 24, 2015.
