Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts

Stephen Schwartz has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group. The composer of hit musicals Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, Schwartz is the recipient of three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award.

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast of the world premiere of THE DOUBLE-THREAT TRIO written by Adam Overett February 15, 2019 April 28, 2019 at the CLO Cabaret. THE DOUBLE-THREAT TRIO is the third musical to be given a world premiere from Pittsburgh CLO's inaugural SPARK festival, which developed musicals designed to cultivate the next generation of small-cast shows that will continue on in similar venues around the country. The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Julia Gytri & Avi Amon (book, music and lyrics), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (book, music and lyrics), Andy Roninson (music and lyrics), and Ben Wexler (music and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $50,000, will be presented on Monday, March 19, 2018 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

Random Access Theatre opens its 2019 season with the World Premiere of Miranda from Stormville by Adam Bertocci. The production, a modern retelling of Shakespeare's The Tempest, runs March 14 - 24 at the IRT Theater in the West Village. Artistic Director and co-founder, Jennifer Sandella directs. Bertocci's previous productions include the highly acclaimed, Two Gentlemen of Lebowski (published by Simon & Schuster). Miranda from Stormville is part of IRT's 3B Development Series.

The Public Theater announced the sixth season of PUBLIC STUDIO today, which will present two new works this spring. Continuing The Public's commitment to nurturing new playwrights, the two productions will run in succession in The Public's Shiva Theater and be presented as pared-down productions with the low ticket price of $15. This vital program continues The Public's mission of making new work by emerging artists accessible to all audiences.

San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for their first Sandbox Series production of 2019 - the world premiere of A White Girl's Guide to International Terrorism, written by Chelsea Marcantel. Morgan Green will direct. The play was commissioned by San Francisco Playhouse.

The Tank will present Tank-aret, a monthly cabaret series curated by EllaRose Chary and Brandon James Gwinn at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). Performances are scheduled for Monday, February 25 (hosted by Drag King Sam Bam Thankyoumaam), Monday, March 4 (featuring BOOBS! The Musical with Erica Von Kleist), Monday, April 22 (featuring Izzy Castaldi), Monday, May 20 (featuring Anessa Marie), and Monday, June 24 (featuring Sabrina Chap). Tickets ($18 + 1 drink minimum) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org. The performance will run approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

Atlantic Theater Company is proud to announce that Little Known Facts at Atlantic, a live podcast hosted by Ilana Levine, will be returning as a full series this spring. Little Known Facts at Atlantic was originally presented as a one night only event featuring Atlantic Ensemble member Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson. Following the first event's success, three additional live podcasts have been announced.

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts last night to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 50th season, which launches this summer. Kelley's 50th and final season as Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley includes triumphant returns of TheatreWorks favorites, bold premieres developed at the company's annual New Works Festival, and celebrated works from the nation's leading playwrights.

Honeck-Moss Productions is proud to present "In The Works."  This exciting series was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment.  It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

The Dramatists Guild Foundation (DGF) has announced that it will be bringing its Traveling Masters program to Rhode Island, Nevada, and New Hampshire for the very first time over the course of this month. The Traveling Masters is a nationwide education program providing master classes and events on the craft of writing. The program presents an incredible opportunity for students, aspiring professionals, and theater lovers to connect with the giants of American theater to be inspired, challenged, and empowered. Participants get the chance to interact with award-winning writers, allowing them to learn, ask questions, and develop their talents with input from true experts. Participants in each state gain insight into the real-life experiences of three different renowned playwrights.
