In 1992, Crazy for You opened on Broadway and won the 1992 Tony Award for Best New Musical and ran for over 1600 performances before closing in 1996. Originally billed as 'a new Musical Comedy' by George and Ira Gershwin, the production is heavily based on Girl Crazy, a show written by the songwriting team back in 1930. Crazy for You will open at the new Alhambra Theatre & Dining tonight, March 20.
Bach Week Festival's 40th Season to Open April 19 in Evanston

The 40th annual Bach Week Festival, where listeners luxuriate in diverse works of Johann Sebastian Bach, will present a signature blend of solo, concerto, orchestral, and choral performances in concerts April 19 and 21 in Evanston and May 5 in Chicago, the festival's first foray into the Windy City.

The Polar Express, first released in 2004, has become a favorite of young people of all ages. The cutting-edge "motion capture process" used to film the story converts the work of live actors - including Tom Hanks, Michael Jeter and Peter Scolari - into dazzling animation.
