A new musical of the hit film Ever After will be directed by Doug Hughes and will feature a score by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich when it bows on Broadway in 2007
The cast includes Jill Clayburgh (Bess), Richard Thomas (Jeffrey), Matthew Morrison (Thad), Susan Kelechi Watson (Juliet), James Yaegashi (Bill), Leslie Ayvazian (Elaine) and Ann Guilbert (Sadie).
The box office opens Thursday, July 21st for Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) Broadway presentation of Jill Clayburgh in the New York premiere of Tony Award® winner Richard Greenberg's new comedy A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, directed by Tony Award® winner Doug Hughes at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).
John Patrick Shanley, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of DOUBT, will join the production's Tony Award-winning stars Cherry Jones and Brían F. O'Byrne at 92 Street Y's Makor Center (35 West 67th Street) on Monday, July 11 at 7:30 PM.
Richard Greenberg's THE HOUSE IN TOWN, directed by Doug Hughes, will
complete the Newhouse season, beginning performances on Thursday, May
11, opening Thursday, June 8. Richard Greenberg, the Tony Award
winning author of Take Me Out, returns to LCT, where his play Everett
Beekin was given its New York premiere in 2001. Doug Hughes, who won
a 2005 Tony Award for his direction of Doubt, A Parable, will make
his Lincoln Center Theater debut directing this production.
Performances begin Thursday, May 11. Opening night is Thursday, June
8.
Now in its 21st season, Lincoln Center Theater is currently
presenting its award-winning production of the Craig Lucas-Adam Guettel
musical The Light in the Piazza, winner of six 2005 Tony Awards including
Best Score and Best Actress in a Musical (Victoria Clark), at the Vivian
Beaumont Theater.
Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the New York Premiere of Noah Haidle's play Mr. Marmalade, directed by Michael Greif at the Laura Pels Theatre (Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre; 111 West 46th Street).
