Jimmy Pardo and Never Not Funny are returning to host the Fifth Annual Pardcast-a-Thon fundraiser to benefit Smile Train. This year's event will stream live from noon to midnight Pacific Standard Time on Friday, November 29th. Jimmy will once again be joined by co-hosts Matt Belknap and Pat Francis.
Doug Benson ("Best Week Ever," "Last Comic Standing") has been on an album-a-year schedule since 2008, plus he records a popular weekly podcast ("Doug Loves Movies"), does the occasional film ("Super High Me") and TV project ("The Benson Interruption"), and keeps up a robust schedule of live dates. COMEDY CENTRAL and Twitter announced today the launch of #ComedyFest, the first-ever celebration of comedy and comedians to be programmed on Twitter. The five day festival, which runs from April 29-May 3, kicks off with comedic icon Mel Brooks setting up a Twitter account at an event at LA's Paley Center featuring comedy legend Carl Reiner and moderator Judd Apatow. The event will be live-streamed in Mr. Brooks' first tweet, and can also be viewed on CC.com.#ComedyFest will feature an all-star roster of comedic talent including 16 programmed events with more than 50 comedians. #ComedyFest will bring the COMEDY CENTRAL audience and everyone who likes to laugh closer to the biggest comedic talents across genres and generations.
Named High Times Magazine's 'Stoner of the Year' in 2006, Doug Benson is a stand-up comedian and actor known for his numerous credits. Besides finishing in the top six of NBC's Last Comic Standing fifth season, he has his own documentary called Super High Me. Doug was a series regular on four seasons of VH-1's Best Week Ever and continues to make recurring appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He also has two Comedy Central Presents half-hour specials and four CD's out on Comedy Central Records.
