Annie Get Your Gun closes October 16.

Kick off Red Mountain Theatre Company's 2011-2012 Season with the Broadway hit Sweet Charity,today through October-23, 2011, at the newly redesigned RMTC Cabaret Theatre (301 19th Street North).

Lakewood Theatre Company's 59th season is right on target as it continues with the classic American musical, Annie Get Your Gun. The production, directed by Ron Daum, presents the story of rough and tumble Annie Oakley and her rise to fame and romance with headliner Frank Butler. Irving Berlin's memorable songs make this a bull's-eye hit for everyone.

Television and recording artist-turned-stage actress, Nikki Gil (Charity Hope Valentine) and newbie theater actor, Kris Lawrence (Oscar Lindquist), lead 9 Works Theatrical's (Rent, The Wedding Singer) production of the classic Broadway musical comedy, Sweet Charity, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

92nd Street Y announces the 2012 line-up for Lyrics & LyricistsTM, 92Y's celebrated American Songbook series, with DEBORAH GRACE WINER at the helm for her fourth season as series artistic director. Harold Sanditen will make a stop with 'Thoughts 'Round Midnight' during his musical tour for one show only on June 19, 2011 at 2 PM, at the Arthur Newman Theatre at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert following the success of this show in 2010 and 2011 in London, New York and Chicago.

Theatre West presents a musical reading of SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS, featuring music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields. Set to star in the reading are: Beau Bridges, Emily Bridges, Caitlin Gallogly, Edward Z. Gallogly, Anthony Gruppuso, David P.Johnson, Daniel Keough, Devra Korwin,Andre Landzaat, Robert W. Laur, Barbara Mallory, Lee Meriwether, Barbara Minkus, Andrew Parks, Madison Claire Parks, Elliot Schwartz and Laura Wolfe.

With an uneventful 6pm coming and going on the evening of May 21st, I rested comfortably that night secure in the knowledge that any predictions of the arrival of Judgment Day were, at the very least, miscalculations.  But the next evening, as I sat watching David Burnham, Sally Mayes, Howard McGillin, Billy Stritch, Lillias White and Rachel York perform eight-five minutes of songs composed by Broadway's heppist hepcat, Cy Coleman, you'd have a tough time convincing me I'd not been raptured into Heaven.

Unless the names 'Noel' and 'Coward' are involved, I tend to be a bit wary about musicals with the book, music, lyrics and direction all by the same person, but Willard Beckham makes a very entertaining go of it with his campy, country/western musical comedy, Lucky Guy.

Last night, May 25, 59E59 Theaters welcomed the Rubicon Theatre in California to Americas Off Broadway with their critically acclaimed production of THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF Cy Coleman, devised and directed by David Zippel. Joining her are vocalists Sarah Uriarte Berry, Josh Grisetti, Marcus Lovett, Mary Testa and Zakiya Young, with special guest vocalist Leslie Uggams.
