Beau Bridges, Caitlin Gallogly, et al. Set for SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS Reading, 6/19

Theatre West presents a musical reading of SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS, featuring music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields. Set to star in the reading are: Beau Bridges, Emily Bridges, Caitlin Gallogly, Edward Z. Gallogly, Anthony Gruppuso, David P.Johnson, Daniel Keough, Devra Korwin,Andre Landzaat, Robert W. Laur, Barbara Mallory, Lee Meriwether, Barbara Minkus, Andrew Parks, Madison Claire Parks, Elliot Schwartz and Laura Wolfe.

The proect will be directed by Brian O'Halloran and produced by Jill Jones and Sandra Tucker, and will take place on June 19 at 7:00 PM.

"Something for the Boys" is being done as a Concert Version. This is the first time "Something for the Boys" been presented on the West Coast, and it is with the permission and enthusiastic encouragement of the Cole Porter, Herbert Fields and Dorothy Fields' family trusts. It contains the song "I'm in Love with a Soldier Boy" which was Betty Garrett's first Broadway solo, which will be sung by her granddaughter Madison Claire Parks. The Concert celebrates Betty, illustrates how Theatre West passes theatrical wisdom down through generations of artists, and supports the continuation of the Betty Garrett Musical Comedy Workshop.
