Lifeline Theatre Artistic Director Dorothy Milne and the artistic ensemble announce their 2013-2014, season of Big Stories, Up Close. In its award-winning and audience-acclaimed style, Lifeline's thirty-first season will feature six unforgettable books brought to life: sprawling, classic stories as well as thrilling contemporary titles, as Lifeline retains its reputation for fresh, imaginative interpretations of beloved favorites and embraces the challenges of new, thought-provoking works. Additionally, Lifeline Theatre will produce the seventeenth annual Fillet of Solo Festival and the Georgette Heyer Reading Series.

Click, Clack, Boo! A Tricky Treat runs Saturday, Oct. 19 - Sunday, Nov. 24 at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave. Press opening is Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. Regular performance times are Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Previews are Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m.) Ticket prices are $15 and may be purchased at the Lifeline Theatre Box Office, 773.761.4477, or by visiting www.lifelinetheatre.com.

Both shows are part of BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center's Family Theater Season, featuring plays, musicals, puppetry, concerts and dance for all ages.

The Des Moines Community Playhouse presents 'Stone Soup,' today, May 17. This story is part of the 2012-13 season of Friday Funday, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6. Performances are at the Playhouse, Today, May 17, at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 1:30 PM. Shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. Admission is $5 per person, adults and children.
