Hanna Burke presents 'Why is Everyone Laughing?' A Tribute to MADELINE KAHN. 'Why is everyone laughing?' was a question that Madeline Kahn often asked her co-stars, crew members, and audiences. To us, she was one of the greatest comediennes of her time, yet throughout her career getting a laugh was often a surprise.

Two-Time MAC Award Winner MEG FLATHER Premieres Three-Show Run of CARLY & ME at Don't Tell Mama, 7/31 at 4 PM

On the heels of her recent critically acclaimed show PORTRAITS (which premiered last December in the Stephen Hanks produced Metropolitan Room series NEW YORK CABARET'S GREATEST HITS and then enjoyed a three-show run at Don't Tell Mama), two-time MAC Award- winner Meg Flather will launch a three-show run of her new show CARLY & ME at Don't Tell Mama on July 31 at 4 pm (with additional shows on August 28 at 4 pm and September 27 at 7 pm). Flather's band features Paul Greenwood on piano and John Mettam on guitar and drums. Multiple award-winning Lennie Watts is the director. Don't Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street. The cover for this show is $20 ($15 for MAC Members) with a 2-drink minimum.

Broadway Kids Join Forces in a Benefit for Orlando Victims and Loved Ones on 6/27

On Monday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama at 343 West 46th Street in NYC, several young past and present performers from Broadway will join forces in a benefit cabaret to raise money and show support for the victims, survivors and those suffering as a result of the mass shooting in Orlando this month. The benefit is entitled Broadway Kids for Orlando: All You Need is Love. All of the proceeds will be donated to the GLBT Center of Central Florida.

Musical Theater Heritage to Offer Concert Presentation of New Musical HURRICANE

Musical Theater Heritage will enters the foray of original new work by presenting a concert style reading of Michael Finke's new musical, HURRICANE. MTH is bringing the composer in from New York and will spend the week fine-tuning the new musical culminating with a free public reading on Sunday, June 26 at 8pm.

American Songbook Inspired Live Music Series Debuting on 7/3

BWW Review: CABARET at Winspear Opera House

I can't be the only theatregoer who found the tour of CABARET chilling. During an election year where fear mongering and racial intolerance are sitting center ring, the story of pre-Holocaust Germany seems especially relevant and cautionary. Set in the aftermath of WWII as Japanese Americans return to the West Coast and called "eloquent…elegant and searing" by LA Weekly, NO-NO BOY will run from June 18-19 at the Burke Theatre in Washington, DC (701 Pennsylvania Ave.); June 21-25, 2016 at the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row in New York City (410 W. 42nd Street); and June 26 at Flushing Town Hall in Flushing, NY.
