Tony winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, The American Plan) and MTC begin their 10th collaboration with the world-premiere production of The Assembled Parties. MTC Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (Wit, Collected Stories) directs the cast that includes Tony nominee Jessica Hecht (A View from the Bridge, Harvey), Tony and 2-time Emmy winner Judith Light (Other Desert Cities, Lombardi) and Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos (Glengarry Glen Ross, Clybourne Park).

PLAY DEAD, SLOWGIRL and More to Play Geffen Playhouse in 2013-14

The Geffen Playhouse announces nine plays for the 2013/2014 season: three world premieres/adaptations, three West Coast premieres and two productions of familiar works from Pulitzer or Nobel Prize winning playwrights. The remaining title will be announced shortly. Furthering its mission to introduce audiences to new plays, re-imagined classics and emerging voices, the Geffen's schedule - encouraged by continued growth in ticket sales - is the largest in the 19 year history of the organization.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announced that tickets are now available for the world premiere of The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin by Steven Levenson, directed by Scott Ellis. The cast will include Christopher Denham as "James Durnin," Sarah Goldberg as "Katie Nicholson," and David Morse as "Tom Durnin." Additional casting will be announced soon.

The Studio Theatre presents Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, a story about Sarah, a photo journalist. After being injured by a roadside bomb, she is forced to face the reality of covering tragedies in war, and whether reporters should intervene to try to relieve suffering. Time Stands Still will run Thursday, tonight, March 28 through Saturday, April 6, 2013.

Lifelong dreams, love of literature and past reckoning. Those themes are at the heart of A. Rey Pamatmat's two-character drama, And Right Now. The new play, commissioned by South Coast Repertory, is featured in a staged reading tonight, March 18, at 7:30 p.m., as part of SCR's 27th season of its NewSCRipts reading series.
