Variety reports today that SPIDER-MAN, Turn Off the Dark is yet one step closer to opening at the Hilton Theatre on Broadway, as Marvel Comics has granted the production a 5th (and an alleged final) extension on the rights, in anticipation of a November or December opening. Previews would begin in October.

The critically acclaimed new Broadway musical COME FLY AWAY will be featured on the FOX television program 'So You Think You Can Dance' Thursday, June 17th. Tony Award nominees Karine Plantadit and Keith Roberts (nominated for Movin' Out) will perform the show stopping number 'That's Life' during the program's first live results show of the season, which airs nationally at 9pm (8pm central).

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is proud to announce that the world premiere of Johnny Baseball, has been extended through July 11th 2010 with 15 additional performances. The new musical about the Red Sox opened on June 2nd 2010.

The New York Times is repoting that Jennifer Damiano who just announced her July 18th departure from NEXT TO NORMAL has already found her next role - love interest Mary Jane Watson, in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off the Dark which is said to be on track for a late 2010 opening.

COME FLY AWAY, the critically acclaimed new Broadway musical, has announced that a new block of tickets is now on sale for performances through February 20, 2011. In addition, beginning Tuesday, September 7th, COME FLY AWAY will be performed on the following new schedule: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm, Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, Sunday at 2pm and 6:30pm.
