Disney's THE LION KING will play its 4,500th performance on Sunday, August 24. The groundbreaking musical is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary on Broadway and continued success around the world.

The Actors Fund is proud to announce a Special Benefit Performance of the Tony® Award winning revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific on Sunday, September 21st, 8 pm. The evening stars the original cast and is made possible by special arrangement with Lincoln Center Theater. Complimentary membership tickets can not be used for this performance.

'A View from the Bridge' To Receive First Guthrie Staging

The Guthrie today announced complete casting for A View from the Bridge, the timeless tragedy by quintessential American dramatist Arthur Miller. Director Ethan McSweeny (A Body of Water, Romeo and Juliet, Six Degrees of Separation) returns for this first-ever Guthrie staging of Miller's acclaimed play, which begins previews September 13.

Burton, Kaczmarek, and Barron Star In 'Blue Leaves' At Taper Forum

Casting is complete for the revival of John Guare's modern American classic comedy, 'The House of Blue Leaves,' which will open the new Mark Taper Forum after its year-long renovation. Directed by Nicholas Martin, 'The House of Blue Leaves' begins previews August 30, opens September 14 and continues through October 19, 2008.

'Bette and Boo's' Glover To Appear On XM 8/1

John Glover, appearing in Roundabout Theatre Company's The Marriage of Bette and Boo, will be featured on The American Theatre Wing's 'Downstage Center' on XM Radio channel 28. Glover will appear as the special guest on Friday, August 1st at 6PM.

Due to an abbreviated rehearsal period with the show's full company, Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) will move the opening night of Richard Nelson's Some Americans Abroad to Thursday, July 24, to allow for a longer preview period.

This revival of Christopher Hampton's classic Les Liaisons Dangereuses stars Laura Linney as 'La Marquise de Merteuil' and Ben Daniels as 'Le Vicomte de Valmont,' and is directed by Rufus Norris at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd St).
