The 2015-2016 Park City Institute / Strategic News Service "Future in Review" Speaker Series re-enters the global discussion with the man FORTUNE named one of the "100 Smartest People We Know." Strategic News Service (SNS) founder Mark Anderson sets the tone for the third annual series with a talk grounded in his unique grasp of technology, the economy, education, science and international business on Friday, November 20. The evening, "Ideas into Actions: Technology Breakthroughs, Great Futures," takes place in the intimate Black Box Theater of Park City's Eccles Center; 7:30p.m. Tickets are $25.
Pacific Symphony Youth Wind, String Ensembles Launch Season with Respective Concerts, 11/15

Orange County, Calif.—Nov. 5, 2015—The young and highly talented Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings (PSSS) and Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE) are preparing to launch their first concerts of the 2015-16 season. First, the talented brass, woodwind and percussion musicians of PSYWE breeze onto the stage to perform a selection of European classics from the wind ensemble canon on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m., in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The program, “Europa,” features Rimsky-Korsakov's “Procession of the Nobles,” Grainger's “Lincolnshire Posy” and Walton's “Crown Imperial.” Then, PSSS celebrates its 25th anniversary and pays tribute to its founder, Lonie Bosserman, whose dream it was to create a middle-school string ensemble, by performing dream-like music for “Fantasize This!,” taking place Sunday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m., at Friends Church in Yorba Linda.

Tenor Jason Bridges makes his Company debut as Edgar Allan Poe in Gordon Getty's Usher House; Bridges created the role in the 2014 world stage premiere at Welsh National Opera conducted by Lawrence Foster.

Due to popular demand and critical acclaim, Labyrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Executive Director Danny Feldman) extends the world premiere of Empanada Loca, written and directed by Aaron Mark, to November 15. The production, which opened on October 21, features two-time Tony nominee and Labyrinth Theater Company member Daphne Rubin-Vega. Empanada Loca is a solo thriller set in modern day New York City inspired by true events and the legend of Sweeney Todd.

The Ruth Page Civic Ballet is proud to present its annual production of The Nutcracker, choreographed by Ruth Page and co-directed by Victor Alexander and Dolores Lipinski Long. This production, celebrating its 50th anniversary this holiday season, will be performed at Northeastern Illinois University, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue in Chicago, Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 1 and 5 p.m. and at the Ravinia Festival, 200 Ravinia Park Road in Highland Park Dec 13 at 3 and 6 p.m. Tickets for NEIU are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors and children under the age of 12 and $10 for NEIU students, faculty and staff, one ticket per I.D. card. Also available is 'Tea with Clara,' a delightful tea party which patrons can enjoy with their favorite The Nutcracker characters from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Tickets for 'Tea with Clara' include admission to the tea party and either 1 or 5 p.m. show, are $85 for adults and $50 for children under the age of 12. Tickets for the Ravinia performances are $10 reserved seating. Performance tickets are now on sale and may be purchased at www.ruthpage.org. Gardiner (Born Bad). This world premiere will be presented in spring 2016 as part of MTC's The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).
