The Town Hall presents Broadway By The Year©: Broadway Musicals of 1928 and 1935 on Monday, February 25 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the evening marks the beginning of Broadway By The Year©'s 19th season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).  

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, along with Resident Company support, celebrates Black History Month this February with an array of programming honoring African American artistic expression and culture.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents the inimitable, genre-defiant music of Bobby McFerrin on February 17, 2019, at 7pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. The concert will feature Gimme5 - McFerrin's newest band comprised of veterans from his a cappella Voicestra group Joey Blake, Dave Worm, Rhiannon, and Judi Vinar - and local choral ensemble musica intima. The program will be based on Circlesinging, a musical practice and philosophy that McFerrin has been honing since he began as a solo a cappella performer, assigning vocal parts to his onstage collaborators and audience members - transforming sold-out houses into glorious impromptu choirs.

Da Camera of Houston's 2018-19 jazz series continues with a performance by Cuban pianist, composer, arranger and bandleader Chucho Valdes at the Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 8 p.m. Winner of six Grammy Awards, three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences' Lifetime Achievement Award, Valdes has been a key figure in the evolution of Afro-Cuban jazz for the past 50 years.

The Philly POPS will offer free tickets for furloughed government employees during the federal government shutdown. This performance is a part of The Philly POPS 40th Anniversary Season, which celebrates artists and music with connections to Philadelphia and the POPS.

The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, the live event space and broadcast studio of WNYC and WQXR, today announced that Grammy Award-Winning composer and jazz pianist Arturo O'Farrill will serve as its 2019 Artist-in-Residence.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents an incredible evening of jazz featuring the Branford Marsalis Quartet and Yuko Mabuchi Trio for one performance only on January 25, 2019 at 8:00pm. Led by Jazz Master and Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis, the quartet was declared by the Associated Press as "one of the most cohesive, intense small jazz ensembles on the scene today." Quartet members include Joey Calderazzo, piano; Eric Revis, bass; and Justin Faulkner, drums. Opening the program is pianist Yuko Mabuchi whose trio of musicians includes Del Atkins on bass and Bobby Breton on drums.

She comes to 92Y with her trio on Sunday, February 14 for an unforgettable evening of romantic standards and celebration of love.
