New York City's glitter soaked satirist, Dandy Darkly, is back with another haunting jaunt of Southern Gothic storytelling and whip-smart sleaze.

In front of over 4000 screaming fans at San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and executive producers of the critically acclaimed Freeform series “Marvel's Cloak & Dagger,” today announced the series has been picked up for a second season. The “superhero show of the summer” (Vulture), will be back with 10 all-new episodes promising mayhem in spring 2019.

Joe's Pub at The Public presents the North American premiere of Murray Hill: About To Break, a new comedy and theatrical event, running September 20-22 and 27-29. About To Break is written and performed by Hill and directed and developed with Tony Award-winning lyricist, writer, and director Scott Wittman. Renowned as a comic host around the world, this new show is a departure, putting Hill center stage in the first major dedicated solo show of his long, storied career. Musical direction is by Paul Leschen with original music by Hill with Wittman, Marc Shaiman, Kyle Forrester, Eric Kornfeld, Jesse Elder, and Leschen.

With a Machete Productions, in association with Haven Theatre, is thrilled to present The Church of Modern Love, a new rock musical experience, with music, lyrics and book by Davyd Reddyk and Ethan Krupp. This workshop-run will play at the Den Theatre - Bookspan Theatre from July 17th - 28th. The Church of Modern Love will be directed and choreographed by Jon Martinez (Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The View Upstairs).

After a triumphant USA debut earlier this year, selling out five cities across the States, award-winning artist and Aussie cabaret darling Catherine Alcorn will make her Sydney Opera House debut in her critically acclaimed show The Divine Miss Bette from Thursday 23 August.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents David  Javerbaum's comedy An Act of God, running July 25 - August 17. Directed by Daisy Walker, An Act of God stars Lynnette R. Freeman as God, Alexandra Lemus  as The Archangel Gabriel, and David Meyers as The Archangel Michael. Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 29 - July 20. Two preview performances, July 25 and 26, begin at 7:30 p.m.

Luna Stage Company launched a new era on July 1, when it welcomed Ari Laura Kreith as Artistic Director and Miriam Gardin as Managing Director. The new team has announced a MainStage season featuring four new plays set in locations ranging from Malawi to Manhattan. They are committed to developing work that inspires empathy, provokes dialogue, catalyzes action, and reflects local voices as well as national and international conversations.

MN: What would you like operagoers to know about DR ATOMIC? RMcK: I hope folks are able to arrive with an open heart and mind. As with any librettist Peter Sellars and composer John Adams collaboration, what we are creating is not traditional opera. In this case, it almost feels like a kind of ceremony-a celebration of this land and a display of mourning for what happened here in the desert 75 years ago.
