The 32nd Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards were held on Monday, June 2 at 7:30pm at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. The winners for the evening were Dormeshia Sumbry Edwards (After Midnight) & Karine Plantadit (AfterMidnight) a tie for Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show; Jared Grimes (After Midnight) for Outstanding Male Dancer in a Broadway Show; and Warren Carlyle (After Midnight) for Outstanding Choreographer for a Broadway Show. During rehearsals for The Underpants by Steve Martin, Hartford Stage administrators learned of plans for an 'accidental' wardrobe malfunction. Horrified, the administrators noted that Hartford Stage does not condone wardrobe malfunctions of any kind.

Long Wharf Theatre, in association with Hartford Stage, presents The Underpants by Steve Martin, adapted from the play by Carl Sternheim, directed by Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein. The play will take place now through November 10, 2013 at The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre before moving to Hartford Stage January 9 through February 9, 2014. By popular demand, the Hollywood Bowl is once again transformed into the world's largest movie theater for the GreaseSing-A-Long tonight, July 13, 2013. The show, hosted by Didi Conn ('Frenchy'), will feature the Paramount Pictures film, complete with subtitles so the whole audience can sing along.

Playwright, and Emmy Award winner, Elliot Shoenman will return to the Odyssey Theatre with his newest play A Heap Of Livin', which includes original music by David Shire (Oscar/Grammy Award, multiple Tony/Emmy noms). Elliot's work, the Ovation Award nominated AfterMath, starring Annie Potts, played to sold-out houses at the Odyssey last season, launched by the Inkwell Theater.
