(New York) – July 13, 2016 – Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U.S. Congress as “a vital American cultural ambassador to the world,” returns to the United Kingdom, Lausanne, Switzerland, and Copenhagen, Denmark to perform a dozen ballets from September 6 – October 30. Robert Battle will lead Ailey through the UK (September 9 – October 19) for the first time since becoming Artistic Director, including the Company's inaugural visits to Southampton and Canterbury, England. Presented by Dance Consortium, the UK engagement will include 10 works performed across 10 cities. The Company will then head to the Salle Métropole in Lausanne (October 22 – 23) and The Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen (October 26 – 30). Bank of America is the lead sponsor of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's 2016 and 2017 international tours.

The Washington Pavilion is excited to welcome the Boston Pops, the most recorded and arguably the most beloved orchestra in the country, to the Mary W. Sommervold Hall at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017.  Affectionately known as "America's Orchestra", the Boston Pops has chosen Sioux Falls as one if its destinations during its limited Midwest tour. Ticket on-sale dates and pricing will be announced sometime in the near future.

This week marks the one-year anniversary of the start of "A New York Minute with Jim Caruso," a weekly showbiz radio segment heard at 8:20am Wednesdays on "The Morning Lounge" with Rich and Jill Switzer on Legends 100.3 FM radio and online.  The fifty-two segments have celebrated Broadway shows (Hamilton, Bright Star, Fully Committed, Fiddler on the Roof, Something Rotten, School of Rock, The Color Purple, The Phantom of the Opera, Waitress, On The Town, etc.), cabaret, and off-Broadway events.

The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater Summer Concert Series returns with new faces (and some favorites), performing Latin, Cabaret, Classical, Big Band and more. Nearly 900 graduates from 68 countries received degrees today at Berklee's 2016 commencement. Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented honorary doctor of music degrees to music legends Rita Moreno, the Isley Brothers, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento. Moreno delivered the commencement address to the graduating class and an estimated audience of nearly 7,000 guests at the Agganis Arena. The annual commencement concert, held the previous evening at the Agganis Arena, featured some of the college's most accomplished students paying tribute to the honorees with performances of music associated with their careers.

Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Caesar thought playing the guitar was his life's calling. His family traveled to Indianapolis twice a year for a big family cookout, and he'd watch his cousin, Odell Rhodes, jam in the living room with Wes Montgomery, who, unbeknownst to 8-year-old Caesar, would come to be regarded as one of America's most seminal jazz guitarists.
