The Queens Players and Femme Fatale Theater present Euripides' timeless tragedy The Bacchae, in a production dripping with a sense of foreboding dark comedy this March 28th through April 14th at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City, Queens. Femme Fatale Theater Co-Founder ROBERT RIBAR directs a cast lead by PETER OLIVER ('Law & Order: Special Victims Unit') as the seductive god Dionysus and MICHAEL AXELROD (The Flea's Restoration Comedy) as the doomed king Pentheus.
Opening on February 7th at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford, the 2008 Tony Award winning musical In the Heights takes a local stage for the first time. Directed by Westchester's own John Fanelli and presented by his Standing Ovation Studios, the production features a blend of talent and crew from Broadway and the national tour with regional performers.
Bernice Bobs Her Mullet: A New Musical Comedy with book, music and lyrics by Joe Major will be performed once again at an exclusive, New York City reading before an invited audience of industry professionals on Friday, November 2nd at 2:00pm. Slated to perform the musical's revamped script and score are Andrew Call (American Idiot, Glory Days), Kathy Fitzgerald (9 to 5, The Producers) and Joe Aaron Reid (Ghost, NBC's "Smash"), as well as Devon Buchanan, KC Comeaux, Natalie Hiatt, Dana Mierlak and Kassie Carroll as the show's title character, Bernice.
