Casting has been announced for the Pittsburgh engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, playing the Benedum Center on Tuesday, September 4, through Sunday, September 23, 2012. The cast of JERSEY BOYS will be led by Brandon Andrus (Nick Massi), Colby Foytik (Tommy DeVito), Jason Kappus (Bob Gaudio) and Brad Weinstock (Frankie Valli) as The Four Seasons, with Barry Anderson and Thomas Fiscella.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, JERSEY BOYS film director Jon Favreau revealed via Twitter that there would be open casting calls for the adaptation.

Actor/director Jon Favreau is officially set to direct the JERSEY BOYS film, which is being adapted by RED playwright John Logan. Yesterday, Favreau wrote on his Twitter page: 'Yes, I'm directing Jersey Boys, and there's an open call for the lead roles.'

A celebration of the life of John Neville will be held in Stratford today, July 15. Mr. Neville, who was Artistic Director of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival from 1986 to 1989, died on November 19. He was 86.

This weekend the world-wide smash hit production of JERSEY BOYS - The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons officially opens at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) on Sunday 15 July 2012.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, director Jon Favreau is among the top contenders to direct the JERSEY BOYS film, which is being adapted by RED playwright John Logan. Today, Deadline.com reports that Favreau has begun negotiations to close the deal.
