The nation's longest running independently-produced comedy show, Chicago's historic Lincoln Lodge, has entered its 14th season. Continuing its tradition of bringing national headliners to Chicago, The Lincoln Lodge has boasted sold out shows for both Eddie Pepitone (Comedy Central, Conan, Last Comic Standing, Just For Laughs Chicago) and Joe Derosa in his Chicago debut (HBO, Comedy Central, Opie and Anthony, The Pete Holmes Show) so far this year.

Bernard Labadie will return to the New York Philharmonic to conduct Mozart's Requiem; J.S. Bach's Cantata No. 51, Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen!; and Handel's 'Let the Bright Seraphim' from Samson. The program's soloists will include soprano Miah Persson, mezzo- soprano Stephanie Blythe, tenor Frederic Antoun in his Philharmonic debut, bass Andrew Foster- Williams, Philharmonic Principal Trumpet Philip Smith, and the New York Choral Artists directed by Joseph Flummerfelt. The concerts will take place tonight, November 7, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 8 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 9 at 8:00 p.m.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director) will present their Tenth Anniversary Season at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theater, including Off Broadway revivals of modern classics by the iconoclastic Joe Orton and Charles Ludlam - writing in the tradition of Marlowe and Aristophanes - alongside Revelation Readings of Jacobean gems such as 'Tis Pity She's a Whore and The Roaring Girl, and of rarities like the American Premiere of Nabokov's Tragedy of Mr. Morn, Brecht & Weill's musical Happy End, and Thornton Wilder's Alcestiad, offering something for every lover of classic theater to relish.

It would be seemingly impossible for Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley to match its most recent production, RAGTIME, in direction, artistry, technical elements, and performance. However, its new production, Disney's TARZAN, comes surprisingly close to matching its brilliance.

This year the beloved tradition launches the Company's 2013-2014 Season by reviving Much Ado About Nothing, initially presented during the 2011-2012 Season with original direction by Ethan McSweeny. Much Ado About Nothing will run at STC's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from today, August 20-September 1, 2013. Resident Assistant Director Jenny Lord will direct this delightful summer comedy for residents and visitors to D.C.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director) today announced that Derek Smith would join the cast for the American Premiere of a new adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death by Mike Poulton (Tony Award Nominee for Best Play for Fortune's Fool), directed by Joseph Hardy (Tony Award winner for Best Director for Child's Play). This strictly limited engagement begins Wednesday April 10th and continues through May 4th only, at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets). Opening Night is set for Thursday April 18th. Hardy directs a company that features Daniel Davis, Laila Robins, and Derek Smith.

San Francisco's Orpheum Theatre plays host to Disney's 'The Lion King' now through January 13, 2013. I put that out there right away because if you're one for keeping a bucket list of must-see things to do and see before you 'exit stage left' then this show is surely one for the list.

Though there have been a few modifications to the tour over the last few years (the set design is slightly simpler and some moments have been cut for time) The Lion King is still majestic, astonishing, thrilling, and thoroughly entertaining.

The return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Friday, January 18 at 8:00 p.m. at Bass Concert Hall for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, February 10. “To date, sales for The Lion King have exceeded our expectations but with a four week run in Austin, there are still outstanding seats available in every price range,' said Kathy Panoff, Director and Associate Dean of Texas Performing Arts.

The National Tour of Disney's THE LION KING leaps onto the SHN Orpheum Theatre stage now through January 13, 2013. THE LION KING returns to San Francisco for the first time since its triumphant 43-week run at the SHN Orpheum Theatre in 2004.
