Emmy Award Winner Leslie Jordan returns to the live stage with another theatrical segment from his mindset, 'Full of Gin and Regret: An Evening with Leslie Jordan,' at the Renberg Theater at LA Gay & Lesbian Center in Los Angeles. The performance will feature special guest singer/actress Alexandra Billings and will run for two weekends only, December 10-13 and 17-20.

The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City.
The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.

The Footlight Players serves up a heaping helping of southern-fried comedy with Sordid Lives by Del Shores. Uptown Players continues its eighth season with the Southwest premiere of The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife, running Friday, February 13 - Sunday, March 15, 2009, at the KD Studio Theatre. This production is under the direction of Cheryl Denson with music direction by Scott Eckert.
Written by Del Shores, The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife is a tragic-comedy about domestic violence, set in small town trailer-park Texas. The play explores the lives of Willadean Winkler (Cindee Mayfield), her abusive husband J.D. (TA Taylor), her best-friend LaSonia (Laura Warner) and trashy cocktail waitress Rayleen Hobbs (Melissa Jobe). The play is scored around soul-soaring blues songs (sung by Crystal Ramon).
