United Solo Festival Hosts Premiere of One-woman Rock Opera Psychedelic Cartoon Slideshow, With Puppets

Song of Seamus and the Psychedelic Squirrel takes you to Fort Tryon Park, under the shadow of the George Washington Bridge, where the animal gangs of gritty 1970's New York are fighting over our garbage. Battling the forces of pigeons (and other monsters), and the hazards of sex, drugs and rock & roll, one squirrel will give everything he has to save his brother!

IMPROVISED SHAKESPEARE Returns To 92Y, Today

Chicago's critically acclaimed improv troupe The Improvised Shakespeare Company returns to 92Y for a one-night-only performance today, June 16. Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece  right before your eyes. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed, or written. All the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you're wondering where the story is going...so are they! You've never seen the Bard like this before!

THE HOUSE A New Immersive Theatrical Experience Comes to the Historic Montauk Club

Founding Creative Director Elizabeth Haag is pleased to announce that The House will be the first production of Guerrilla Theater Lab and Bash Entertainment. The event will consist of a 90-minute immersive theatrical performance, preceded by a 60-minute optional happy hour with musical entertainment.  The House is a one-night, Immersive Theatrical Event, to be held on May 19th, 2018, in Park Slope Brooklyn at the historic Montauk Club.

The Gift Theatre's 'giftLit' Returns Tuesday, May 1, 2018 At Community Tavern

Join The Gift Theatre for a line-up of local writers, actors and musicians at giftLit, an evening of stories, wine and entertainment in the grand tradition of a Parisian salon on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 8 pm at Community Tavern, 4038 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Jefferson Park neighborhood. May giftLit writers include Maggie Andersen, Katherine Bourne, Sherman Edwards and Shaina Warfield. Two Sensory-Friendly Performances Announced For Upcoming 2018/2019 Season at Goodman Theatre

Goodman Theatre announces two Sensory-Friendly/Relaxed Performances as part of its ongoing efforts to make the plays on stage accessible to all audiences. In partnership with Autism Speaks-Chicago, these performances are designed to create a performing arts experiences intended for families with members who have autism or other social, cognitive and physical challenges that create sensory sensitivities. The upcoming offerings include A Christmas Carol on December 29-building on the success of the first-ever performance offered this past year, during the 40th anniversary production of the Chicago holiday favorite, directed by Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper.

SWEAT, THE MUSIC MAN, and More Lead The Goodman's 2018-19 Season

Artistic Director Robert Falls announces Goodman Theatre's new 2018/2019 Season-a 14-play line-up of timely, original and inspired works curated by Falls in collaboration with his artistic associates. The new season, which begins in September and continues through July 2019, includes 10 full productions on the Goodman's stages (856-seat Albert Theatre and 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre) plus three free New Stagesdevelopmental productions, and one TBA production TBA staged as part of the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance's 2018 International Latino Theater Festival. Goodman Theatre memberships, including new flexible packages, are now available for purchase.

CSz Philadelphia, the Home of ComedySportz presents MATT&. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, Matt& is an improv comedy show where Matt Holmes performs with a random stranger plucked from the audience. Called a "must-see" and a "best worst nightmare come true," nothing is planned, it's all made up live as you're watching it, and every performance is unique. Matt& runs Sundays in March @ 7PM. Tickets are $10.
