The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of Lisa Kron's IN THE WAKE, directed by Leigh Silverman.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater is pleased to announce the casts of the six final readings for the 2010 season, including new works by Eve Ensler, Romulus Linney & Eleanor Cooney, Steven Sater & Duncan Sheik, Kate Walbert, Patricia Wettig, and Jennifer Westfeldt (screenplay), as well as a special workshop based on Walton Jones' 1940's RADIO HOUR, directed by Mark Linn-Baker.

The 55th Annual Village Voice OBIE Awards were presented on Monday, May 17, 2010, at a ceremony held at Webster Hall in Manhattan. The New Group has announced casting for it's revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, the second show of their 2009 - 2010 season. Directed by Ethan Hawke, the production will feature Josh Hamilton, Marin Ireland, Deirdre O'Connell, Alessandro Nivoloa, Maggie Siff and Frank Whaley. Additional casting to be announced very soon. On Monday, October 5th, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (David van Asselt, Artistic Director) held its 15th Anniversary Gala Benefit at Caroline's Comedy Club. The celebratory evening was hosted by Rattlestick Benefit co-chairs Sandra Coudert, Lawrence Benenson and Colleen Jones. Guests included many of Rattlestick's distinguished alumni including playwrights Craig Wright, Lucy Thurber, Mando Alvarado and Adam Rapp, directors Lucie Tiberghien, Michael Ray Escamilla and Sam Gold, actors Thomas Sadoski, Deirdre O'Connell, Guy Boyd, Marylouise Burke, Matthew Stadelmann, Jessica Dickey and Bill Bowers, as well as many of the company's friends and longtime supporters.
