Musical Theatre West (MTW) opens its 2015-2016 season with Lerner and Loewe's Tony Award-winning musical MY FAIR LADY, October 23-November 8, 2015, at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. 

On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

On Monday, July 20, 2015, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 nominees at its annual event, The IT Party. The new off-Broadway production of Soul Doctor, created by Daniel S. Wise, David Schechter, and Shlomo Carlebach and directed and choreographed by Mindy Cooper, begins performances tonight, November 26, 2014. This new presentation of Soul Doctor will be performed in one act at the Actors Temple Theatre, 339 West 47th Street. With the venue's intimacy and spiritual setting, the show's story and vibrant music will captivate theatergoers. The opening is slated for Sunday, December 14.

MULTISTAGES has announced the new musical by award-winning Anita Velez-Mitchell, platinum-winning composers Dean Landon and Anika Paris, TEMPLE OF THE SOULS, with musical direction by Bruce Baumer and directed by Artistic Director Lorca Peress. TEMPLE OF THE SOULS will play a limited engagement at Theater for the New City - Johnson Theater (155 First Avenue, btw 9th/10th, NYC). Performances begin tonight, September 16 and continue through Sunday, September 28. Opening Night is Thursday, September 18 (8 p.m.).

Classical Theatre of Harlem's Playwright's Playground is back, beginning tonight, January 14th at 7 p.m. And to celebrate, the group will have a drawing to win two tickets to the uptown showing of Detroit '67 at every reading.
