Photo Flash: Inside Lincoln Center's Spring Gala with Tommy Tune & More

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) raised a record $10.4 million last night at its Spring Gala honoring Hearst Corporation, as announced by Katherine Farley, chair of Lincoln Center. The event, attended by more than 500 people, lauded Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and Executive Vice-chairman and former CEO, Frank A. Bennack, Jr. for the enormous and varied contributions to Lincoln Center made by them as well as by their company. Both men serve on Lincoln Center's Board of Directors; Mr. Bennack was chairman of Lincoln Center from 2005 through 2010, and Mr. Swartz is currently chairman of Lincoln Center's Corporate Fund.

Susan Lucci & Thomas Roberts Host Annual UCP of NYC Women Who Care Awards Luncheon Today

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP of NYC), and Loreen Arbus, Founder & Chair of Women Who Care, announced today that Susan Lucci, star of the hit series 'Devious Maids,' Emmy award-winning actress from 'All My Children,' host of Investigation Discovery's 'Deadly Affairs,' and New York Times best-selling author, will return for the third consecutive year as host of The 14th Annual Women Who Care Awards Luncheon.

The luncheon benefits United Cerebral Palsy of New York City and celebrates the accomplishments of extraordinary women as professionals, philanthropists and caregivers, who have broken glass ceilings and inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. Ms. Carter will receive The Women Who Care Luella Bennack Philanthropy Award.

The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC), the world's first child protection agency, held its annual fall benefit on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at The Metropolitan Club in Manhattan. This year, The NYSPCC's benefit was their Inaugural Wine Dinner. The 215 guests, dressed in festive attire, enjoyed an extraordinary menu designed by renowned chef, Jonathan Waxman, of Barbuto, and featured excellent wines from the Napa Valley winery, Tournesol. The cocktail hour kicked off the evening with wine tasting tables sponsored by Bespoke, Far Niente, Millbrook Vineyards and Winery, OneHope and Premier Cru Wine Merchants. Mr. Hansen is being honored for his groundbreaking investigative reporting into on-line child predators.
