The Billie Holiday Theatre's Executive Director Marjorie Moon announces the appointment of director, actor, playwright, and novelist Jackie Alexander as the Theatre's Artistic Director.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a script order to an hour-long pilot reminiscent of FAME, from Debbie Allen and executive producer Sam Haskell. Rather than Manhattan, the project will be set in a Los Angeles performing arts school. HOUSE's Matt Witten is set to write and executive produce with the pair.

Sheryl Lee Ralph - the Broadway and comedic sensation will provide a glimpse into her life as a senator's wife, a mother and a lifelong performer.

Michael Feinstein's MGM Movie Classics tonight, July 13 features rare and stunning arrangements from the golden age of the silver screen, and the orchestra will be joined by guest vocalists Ron Raines, Christine Ebersole, the cast of Hollywood Revisited, and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Tap Ensemble.

Festival General Director Nigel Redden presents the 2013 artistic lineup for Spoleto Festival USA, which showcases nationally and internationally acclaimed artists in a celebration of opera, theater, dance, physical theater, music, and visual arts.
