Starting April 10, Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) brings a children's book character and the world's most-famous pen pal project to life when it presents The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.

Flat Stanley has travelled all over the world, and now, for the first time, this beloved character is coming to Main Street Theater!

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts continues its 2014-15 Programs for Young Audiences series with Dallas Children's Theater on Tour's The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. This 60-minute, fun-filled musical adventure is recommended for audiences ages 4 and up. Performances are Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, based on the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, with book by Timothy Allen McDonald, music by Jonathan K. Waller, David Weinstein, Timothy Allen McDonald and Stephen Gabriel, and lyrics by Timothy Allen McDonald and Jonathan K. Waller, will play Talento Bilingue de Houston. Directed by Andrew Ruthven with music direction by Eduardo Guzman, the production is presented by Main Street Theater.

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) has announced the last two productions in its 2014-15 Season: The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley in April 2015 at VYT and Into the Woods in June 2015 at the Herberger Theater Center.

Stageworks Media will present an industry reading of GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN, a New High School Musical written by Eric Price and directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Set in a prep school, GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN is a modern retelling of the Jane Austin classic Emma, and features a score comprised of contemporary pop songs made famous by female singers, songwriters, and female-led bands. GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN will be presented on Friday, June 20th at 11:00 am at 54Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC).

Roulette presents 'Soundbites' a celebration of their 35 years at the helm of experimental music, dance and intermedia. This significant event, the first salute to Roulette's long history of innovative and experimental programming, will feature six performances by a selection artists whose work truly represents Roulette's unparalleled and unique perspective. Featured artists will be Jen Shyu, Jennifer Choi, Tristan Perich, Darius Jones , Gelsey Bell, and Mario Diaz de Leon, the event will be hosted by highly acclaimed musician and WNYC host, David Garland.

Stageworks Media will present an industry reading of Cyrano de Burger Shack, A New High School Musical written by award-winning playwright Jeremy Desmon and directed by Jeremy Dobrish, which will take place on Friday, February 7th at 1:00 pm at 54Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC). Featured in the cast of Cyrano de Burger Shack are F. Michael Haynie (Wicked) as Cyrano, Julia Mattison (Godspell) as Roxanne, and Michael Campayno (Sound of Music Live) as Christian, as well as Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage aux Folles), Trista Dollison (Avenue Q), Rebecca LaChance (Beautiful), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots), Shina Ann Morris (Cinderella), Jeremy Morse (Papermill's Oliver!), and Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones). The music director /arranger is Meg Zervoulis.

Seattle Children's Theatre presents the world-premiere musical, James and the Giant Peach. Just in time for the holidays, Timothy Allen McDonald's wonderful adaptation from Roald Dahl's best seller will include original music by Tony-Award nominated lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
