By:

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF presents its Fall Children's Series offering, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, from today, October 23 - November 22, 2014 in the Margeson Theater.

Based on the books by Jeff Brown with illustrations by Scott Nash, the production is written by Timothy A. McDonald and features music by David Weinstein, Jonathan K. Waller, Timothy A. McDonald, and Stephen Gabriel, and lyrics by Timothy A. McDonald and Jonathan Waller.

Tickets to The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley ($9 - $15) are available now by calling (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, visiting www.orlandoshakes.org, or in person at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street).

Stanley Lambchop is just like everyone else, until he makes a wish to be as flat as a pancake... and his wish comes true! With his new two-dimensional form, Stanley becomes the ultimate exchange student, scouring the globe to do something the world has never seen before. Learn that heroes come in all shapes and sizes in this whirlwind musical travelogue!

"We're excited to bring Jeff Brown's familiar two-dimensional hero to vibrant life on stage," said Director of Education Anne Hering. "Guests are invited to participate even further by traveling with their very own Orlando Shakes Flat Stanley and contributing to the Theater's online photo album."

A printable Flat Stanley is available at www.orlandoshakes.org.

Casting for The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley includes Michael Sheehy (Flat Stanley), John DeLisa (Arthur and others), Sarah Caroline Billings (Samantha and others), Ryan M. Skiles (Mr. Lambchop and others), and Melissa Mason (Mrs. Cartero and others). The Orlando Shakes production team includes Director/Choreographer Rob Winn Anderson, Scenic Designer Robbin Watts, Lighting Designer Jason Tollefson, Costume Designer Mel Barger, and Sound Designer Britt Sandusky.
