Victor Garber and Kelli O'Hara to Host OUR TIME Gala, 4/22

Our Time - a non-profit organization that has been helping children who stutter for over a decade - will hold its 11th Annual Benefit Gala, Worth the Wait, celebrating the bravery and achievements of young people who stutter as well as those who inspire their success. This event comes just one year after the organization honored Offensive Lineman Matt Slauson of the New York Jets, and two years after honoring David Seidler, the Academy Award-winning writer of The King's Speech, whose film changed the landscape for people who stutter around the world. The event has become an annual favorite for a number of celebrities, philanthropists, artists, and social advocates including former NEA Chair and award-winning actress Jane Alexander who has said: 'The word has gotten out that this is the best show in town. I go to a lot of galas, but this is the one I always want to go to, bar none.'

David Hyde Pierce Joins Drama Desk Panel at Sardi's, 3/22

David Hyde Pierce will join Ellen Burstyn, Jayne Houdyshell, Elizabeth Marvel and David Strathairn on the Drama Desk's annual Spring Panel Discussion at Sardi's on Friday, March 22, entitled 'The Art of Storytelling.' The discussion will be moderated by Ronald Rand, Drama Desk member and founder/publisher of 'The Soul of the American Actor' Newspaper. The Panel Discussion will run approximately from 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM following a luncheon at 11:45 AM.

The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have just announced that the production will recoup its $3 million capitalization during the final week of performances. The final performance is on Saturday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time) at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC). THE HEIRESS will have played 27 previews and 117 regular performances.

The Vineyard Theatre has announced its annual Gala, this year celebrating the institution's 30th Anniversary. This milestone event will take place at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (cocktail reception at 6:00 pm, dinner @ 7:30 pm., and performances beginning at 8:30 pm). The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have announced that the production will now play its final performance on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time). The previously scheduled Sunday, February 10 closing performance has been cancelled to enable Jessica Chastain, who plays the title character, to attend the BAFTA Awards (the British equivalent to the Academy Awards) where she is nominated for Best Actress on Sunday, February 10th in London. Ms. Chastain is nominated for an Academy Award and has already received Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for her performance in the film Zero Dark Thirty. THE HEIRESS is currently playing at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC).

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. The production will play a strictly limited engagement. Opening night is Monday, April 1. Previews begin Friday, March 1.

According to the Boston Herald, Golden Globe winner and Broadway star Jessica Chastain might star in another play in the future. THE HEIRESS star told BH that up next on her agenda is a project that 'hasn't been announced but it's pretty obscure, maybe ten people.... Like in typical Chastain fashion, I mean not a lot of people will see this, but I have a very -- it might be a Strindberg type thing but we'll see.' When the BH asked her whether it was 'Miss Julie,' Chastian made a face like 'you guessed it!'
