This Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May, James Phillips's McQUEEN celebrated press night performances and after parties at St. James Theatre. IN THE MOOD, a rhythmic, jazzy, brassy, sentimental, and patriotic 1940s musical revue, featuring a company of 19 on stage, including a thirteen-piece Big Band and six singers and swing dancing, jitterbugs into the Citi Performing Arts Center Emerson Colonial Theatre for two weeks only, running tonight, May 12 through Sunday, May 24, 2015.

Award-winning actor Stephen Wight takes on the title role of Lee McQueen and Dianna Agron will play Dahlia in the world premiere of James Phillips's play McQUEEN directed by John Caird, which will run at St. James Theatre from 12 May to 27 June, with press nights on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May.  The play will also star Tracy-Ann Oberman as Isabella Blow, Laura Rees as Arabella, and David Shaw-Parker as John Hitchcock, along with Sophie Apollonia, Amber Doyle, George Hill, Eloise Hymas, Jordan Kennedy, Rachel Louisa Maybank, James Revell and Carrie Willis. The Revivalists Re-Release CITY OF SOUND Today

Wind-up Records and New Orleans' own The Revivalists will re-release their City of Sound album on Fat today, March 4, 2014. The two-disc set will include eight live bonus tracks (track listing below) from various sold out shows from the Fall of 2013.

Galactic Release New Single 'Dolla Diva'

The electrifying outfit that released the acclaimed Mardi Gras inspired album Carnivale Electricos are back with a fresh new single “Dolla Diva.” The song is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Rdio and more. “Dolla Diva” features Maggie Koerner and Revivalists frontman David Shaw, who also collaborated with the band for “Hey Na Na” from Carnivale Electricos. Of the new track, Consequence of Sound says, “the band blends together a funky bassline, steady jazz-inspired drums, and Afrobeat guitar for a groove as rich and pulsating as it is worldly.” Koerner is set to join Galactic for their upcoming tour, which kicks off at Turner Hall in Milwaukee on January 30. The band will then make their way across the country over the next two months, including two hometown gigs at Tipitina's in early March, before wrapping up the outing with a two-night run at The Fillmore in San Francisco on March 21 and 22. The New Orleans funk icons are also slated to play a 12 show residency in the newly announced Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The LINQ and Jazz Fest on April 27.

The Revivalists and Moon Taxi will be heading out on the road together to co-headline eight shows beginning April 4, 2014 in Auburn, AL. The tour will hit Baton Rouge (LA), Oxford (MS), Charlottesville (VA), Philadelphia (PA) and will include two Brooklyn (NY) shows before wrapping in Washington (DC) on April 19, 2014.
