Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of its opening in 1943, Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! (September 7 - October 7) brings together a star-studded cast led by New York actors Blake Price as Curly and Sarah Ellis as Laurey. Joining them are three local actors familiar to STAGES audiences, Zoe Vonder Haar as Aunt Eller, David Sajewich as Jud Fry, and John Flack as Andrew Carnes. Making their STAGES debuts, both Price and Ellis were recently seen in the National Tours of the Tony-Award winning A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER which recently played St. Louis. David Sajewich returns to STAGES where he was seen last summer in SOUTH PACIFIC and in the 2015 production of THE FULL MONTY. Rounding out the cast are longtime STAGES favorites John Flack and Zoe Vonder Haar who collectively have appeared in over 70 STAGES productions and began their relationship with STAGES in 1990 and 1987 respectively.

Mamma Mia! is an entertaining musical experience at any venue, with any cast, but Stages St. Louis' production is an especially satiating late-summer treat, featuring a rockin' beach party atmosphere and all the chart-topping ABBA hits you know, including "Dancing Queen," "Winner Takes It All," "Take a Chance on Me," and of course, "Mamma Mia."

Southport Avenue - is pleased to announce the opening of VENUS CABARET THEATER with a uniquely intimate production of Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY, running from April 5th through June 3rd. Press opening is the weekend of April 13th-15th. Named for the planet next to Mercury, Venus Cabaret is a versatile new performance space offering food and drinks to complement each production.

Actors David Sajewich, in the role of George Bailey, and Allison Sill in the role of his wife Mary, lead the cast of Theatre at the Center's A Wonderful Life: The Musical with James Harms as Mr. Potter, David Perkovich as Clarence, Jim Heatherly as Uncle Billy and Jason Richards as Mr. Martini. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! The rubber will meet the road as the World Premiere of the hilarious new pop rock musical HELLDRIVERS OF DAYTONA takes the stage. With music by Berton Averre, lyrics by Rob Meurer, and book by Emmy Award-winner Mark Saltzman, these award-winning creative minds have put the pedal to the metal in this NASCAR-themed musical full of girls, cars, and rockin' guitars.

Chicago, fasten your seat belts-the world premiere musical HELLDRIVERS OF DAYTONA has parked at the Royal George Theatre...and it's a bumpy, messy ride. Billed as a spoof of 1960s racing films, composer Berton Averre (known for 'My Sharona'), lyricist Rob Meurer, and book writer Mark Saltzman have developed a show that's entirely too on the nose. HELLDRIVERS lacks the satirical tone it seeks; instead, the first act replaces the sexual repression common in those 1960s movies with blatant, unoriginal sexual innuendoes and jokes in poor taste. Though conceived as an ironic take on the movies of that era, HELLDRIVERS feels overall cringe-worthy in the first act. The show shifts gears in the second act to focus more on sending up a number of great American musicals (and one Billy Joel song). The overall experience is erratic.
