Isaac Oliver Brings His Blog to the Stage in HE WHO LAUGHS LIVE

On Friday February 26th and Saturday February 27th, Melanie Hopkins and Rob Shapiro present HE WHO LAUGHS LIVE, an evening of scenes and stories from Isaac Oliver's blog which chronicles his life as a gay playwright in New York, 'fighting off causticity daily, clinging to compassion and turns of phrase,' not to mention lots and lots of coffee.

Last night, February 15, 2010 one time Tony-eligible actor Andrew Kober of Broadway's Hair made his New York solo debut at Joe's Pub with a concert event titled Koberet. As previously seen by about 100 Ohioans in the auditorium of Shaker Heights High, this updated Koberet is an even more self-indulgent version of the phenomenon that took the Midwest by storm eight years ago. In it, Broadway's most famous hetero drag queen muses on his life so far... because no one else will.

Other new additions to the evening include actors Will Rogers ('Gossip Girl,' From Up Here) and Charles Shaughnessy (Urinetown, 'The Nanny') and directors Michael Berresse ([title of show]) and Marc Bruni (White Christmas).
