Tony Award winner Debra Monk attended the current rare revival of David Rabe's IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM Thursday night Off-Broadway. She was accompanied by playwright/actor Michael Rabe (son of Mr. Rabe and Jill Clayburgh), with whom she starred in David Rabe's VISITING EDNA at Steppenwolf last fall.

David Rabe's IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM will conclude its acclaimed limited run tomorrow evening (Saturday) at American Theatre of Actors, 314 West 54 Street (just west of Eighth Ave.)

The New Group proudly presents Hamish Linklater's The Whirligig, with Noah Bean, Norbert Leo Butz, Jon DeVries, Alex Hurt, Zosia Mamet, Jonny Orsini, Grace Van Patten and Dolly Wells, in a world premiere production directed by Scott Elliott.

By popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company extends its critically acclaimed world premiere production of Linda Vista by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright and ensemble member Tracy Letts, directed by Dexter Bullard. The production continues for seven additional performances, through May 28, 2017.

Currently in previews, David Rabe's IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM is set to open Off-Broadway tomorrow evening (Thursday) at American Theatre of Actors, 314 West 54 Street (just west of Eighth Ave.) Playwright David Rabe attended rehearsals over the past few weeks, making tweaks to his script in the process for this 2017 incarnation of the rarely produced play. The cast features Pete Mattaliano, who also appeared in the play's world premiere at Villanova University in 1972. Joseph Papp subsequently presented IN THE BOOM BOOM ROOM on Broadway in 1973 starring Robert Loggia, Charles Durning and Madeline Kahn, and the following year at The Public with Christopher Lloyd and Ellen Greene. A friendly reminder! Theatre for a New Audience presents the Yale Repertory Theatre production of Samuel Beckett's masterpiece Happy Days, beginning this Sunday, April 23. Two-time Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest (Hannah and Her Sisters, Bullets over Broadway) plays Winnie, widely considered modern drama's pinnacle female role, alongside Jarlath Conroy, who plays Willie, directed by Yale Repertory Theatre Artistic Director James Bundy.
