BOOTLEG THEATER is thrilled to announce the second show of its 2016-2017 season, the world premiere of THE STAND- IN, written by Alicia Adams & Peter Monro and directed by Patrick Murphy. THE STAND- IN will begin previews on Thursday, October 13 at 7pm; will open on Saturday, October 15 at 7pm and run through Saturday, November 5 at the Bootleg Theater, 2220 Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced an additional benefit performance of Othello, directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home), on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 6:30 pm. Proceeds from the evening will go to benefit NYTW's education and engagement programming across the 2016/17 season, providing thousands of students, teens, artists, and local residents access to some of the most exciting new voices and leading theatre artists of our time.

Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will open the 2016-2017 season with the Tony Award winning musical, The Who's Tommy. Based on one of the most iconic rock albums of all time, it is the inspiring story of a deaf, dumb, blind, pinball-playing kid who overcomes long odds to triumph.

Sony Classical proudly announces the release of The Girl On The Train (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring the music by Danny Elfman. The soundtrack will be available October 7. The movie will arrive in theatres the same day.

The English Touring Theatre/Sheffield Theatres adaptation of DH Lawrence's classic is a tender adaptation with an atmospheric soundscape. Even though it contains full-frontal nudity and sexual themes, the production is sensitive rather than shocking.
