HISTORY's new UFO drama series 'Project Blue Book' makes its series debut on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10 PM ET/PT. From A+E Studios and executive produced by Academy Award and Golden Globe(R) winner Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Contact), the ten episode drama series is based on the true, Top Secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952-1969 and stars Aidan Gillen ('Game of Thrones') and Michael Malarkey ('The Vampire Diaries').

Rob Marshall, Oscar-nominee, DGA and Emmy-award winning filmmaker, producer, theater director and choreographer whose films have consistently reflected the highest quality of production design, will receive the prestigious Cinematic Imagery Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) at its 23 rd Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards. The 2019 Awards, themed 'Production Design: Landscape of the Imagination,' will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and will honor the prestigious spectrum of Marshall's extraordinary award-winning work. The announcement was made today by ADG Council Chairman Mark Worthington ADG and Awards Producers Scott Moses ADG and Marco Miehe ADG.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced initial casting for the 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages

Award-winning choreographer MANDY MOORE and award-winning director/choreographer WALTER PAINTER join the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) on Monday, September 24 from 7 to 8 pm at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles as part of SDCF's ongoing One-on-One Conversation series. The series returns to Los Angeles for another in-depth discussion with prominent artists, following its May conversation with the creative team of Soft Power at CTG. SDCF Executive Director David Roberts will moderate.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

It's a mixed bag overall, but the good were really good, with definite standouts (especially IN FARCE and FATHERLESS CHILD).

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that Kevin Feige will be honored with the 2019 David O. Selznick Achievement Award recognizing the producer's body of work in motion pictures. Feige will receive the award at the 30th Annual Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

In 1999, Colorado mother Jessica Gonzales experienced every parent's worst nightmare when her three young daughters were killed after her estranged husband abducted them in violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Devastated, Jessica filed a lawsuit against the police, claiming they did not adequately enforce her restraining order despite her repeated calls for help that night. The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) will screen the 2018 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour, a 91-minute theatrical program of seven short films selected from this year's Festival, on Saturday, August 4 at 7pm and Wednesday, August 8 at 2pm. Short on time but big on style, the Short Film Tour features a wide variety of storytelling, including fiction, documentary and animation from around the globe. Three of the films in the program won Short Film Jury Awards at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

One of the most acclaimed and distinctive film composers of his generation, four-time Academy Award nominee Danny Elfman collaborates once again with director Gus Van Sant with his original score for Van Sant's new Amazon Studios film Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot. Opening nationwide July 13, the film is a based on John Callahan, one of the most iconic American cartoonists, and his one-of-a-kind story of struggle and redemption. Sony Classical releases the film's original soundtrack recording on July 13.
