Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre from Cerberus Theatre, the UK premiere and the English world premiere of controversial German playwright Rolf Hochhuth's Sommer 14 - A Dance of Death in a brand new translation opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season today, 5 August 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 7 August at 7.30pm).

Since its launch in 2003, Fusion Theatre Company's festival of short works, THE SEVEN, has established itself as one of the premier theatrical events of its kind in the country and even beyond. Playwrights from around the world are invited to submit a mini play, about 15 minutes in length, based on a common theme selected each year by the theatre's own patrons. This year's theme is 'Worlds Collide.' Works are then submitted, anonymously, to a panel of experts, who are faced with the challenging task of reading them all and selecting just seven for full production.

Aspen's acclaimed Theater Masters will present its eighth annual 'Take Ten,' an exciting, fast-paced evening of eight 10-minute plays from award-winning MFA graduate playwriting students from across the country as part of its National MFA Playwrights Competition today, April 22nd - 26th at Off-Broadway's The American Theater of Actors (314 W. 54th Street).

Nylon Fusion Collective gets into the Halloween spirit with The Round's On Us, a collection of one-act works offering up intense drama and laughs about the frightening, the freaky and the just plain fun at the Gene Frankel Theatre, located at 24 Bond Street. Performed in two separate sets, the one-acts will showcased at 7pm and 9pm on October 29th and 30th.

LAByrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, just announced its World Premiere production of A Family For All Occasions, written by Bob Glaudini and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, will extend performances. Originally scheduled to play its final performance on May 19, A Family For All Occasions will now close on Sunday, May 26th. Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today its World Premiere production of A Family For All Occasions, written by Bob Glaudini and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman, will extend performances. Originally scheduled to play its final performance on May 19, A Family For All Occasions will now close on Sunday, May 26th.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist free new play reading series on Wednesday May 15 and Wednesday May 22 at 7 pm on the second floor of the Oakes Center.

"This Round's On Us" - After the Fool... is the second fundraising event of the year to support Nylon Fusion Theatre Company's 6th Season. The festival will feature plays by new and notable playwrights, including Kristina Poe, a longtime member of LAByrinth Theater Company, James Harmon Brown, best known for his work on All My Children, and Jack Karp, a member of Nylon Fusion and winner of the David Mamet Playwriting Competition, whose recent play Incendiary Agents, presented at The New Ohio, performed to sold-out houses.

The Flea Theater will present the world premiere of a cautionary tale by playwright christopher oscar peña. Directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin H. Kamine (Thomas Bradshaw's Job), previews begin May 29 with opening night set for June 10.
