A DANCE OF DEATH Begins Tonight at the Finborough Theatre

Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre from Cerberus Theatre, the UK premiere and the English world premiere of controversial German playwright Rolf Hochhuth's Sommer 14 - A Dance of Death in a brand new translation opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season today, 5 August 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 7 August at 7.30pm).

Since its launch in 2003, Fusion Theatre Company's festival of short works, THE SEVEN, has established itself as one of the premier theatrical events of its kind in the country and even beyond. Playwrights from around the world are invited to submit a mini play, about 15 minutes in length, based on a common theme selected each year by the theatre's own patrons. This year's theme is 'Worlds Collide.' Works are then submitted, anonymously, to a panel of experts, who are faced with the challenging task of reading them all and selecting just seven for full production.

In our digital age, how can they navigate the traditional expectations of their mother with their American culture of individuality?

Originally scheduled to play its final performance on May 19, A Family For All Occasions will now close on Sunday, May 26th.
