One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results.

Due to popular demand and critical acclaim, Labyrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Executive Director Danny Feldman) extends the world premiere of Empanada Loca, written and directed by Aaron Mark, to November 15. The production, which opened on October 21, features two-time Tony nominee and Labyrinth Theater Company member Daphne Rubin-Vega. Empanada Loca is a solo thriller set in modern day New York City inspired by true events and the legend of Sweeney Todd.

Labyrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Executive Director Danny Feldman) presents a free, Halloween performance of Empanada Loca at 10pm on October 31. All tickets for this performance will be distributed via an online lottery system at labtheater.org. The lottery will open on October 26 at noon and will close at noon on October 30 at noon and winners will be contacted by 2pm.

The production, which opens on May 27, reunites the Labyrinth Theater Company member with director Mimi O'Donnell, who worked together on the 2011 production of Thinner Than Water. Called "zesty, muscular and quick-witted," by Time Out New York, Thinner Than Water marked both the playwriting debut of Ross and the directorial debut of O'Donnell.
