Launching at next week's San Diego Comic Con with a panel of award winning artists. Trailer: http://tinyurl.com/ndeuwkThe illuminated book is a contemporary Dante's Inferno; a journey through the confessional landscape of a masculine identity. It uses poetry to construct a narrative that explores themes of death and loss, sex and love, and the modern American and Jewish identity. 'Is She Available?' combines popular genres such as comics with the arcane avant-garde use of art and exceptional dynamic typographic layout. 'It was Goldkind who popularized the phrase 'graphic novel' with the media.... Now, Goldkind's vision of what graphic novels could be, is returning.' -Bleeding Cool 'Poet and storyteller Igor Goldkind is the eclectic individual with a universal voice and vision who has auteured and produced 'Is She Available?' -downthetubes 'Is She Available?' is a web-nurtured collaboration between Igor Goldkind and 27 artists, sculptors and musicians from the world of Comics, Fantasy, Fine Art and Jazz, including Bill Sienkiewicz, David Lloyd, Liam Sharp, Glenn Fabry, Shaky Kane, Lars Henkel and the cutting edge sculptural typography of the highly acclaimed Rian Hughes. 'Is She Available?' pushes the edge of what is possible with present EPUB3 technology and how books are created and made. It is not an App, it is a true book that marries pop art, comics, avant-garde, jazz, spoken word poetry, video and animations, and type design. Its creative journey was more than a year in the making, growing from the collaborative work of artists, musicians, editors, and designers on two continents.' - Adriano Bulla's Literature Blog Composer and world jazz virtuoso, Gilad Atzmon improvises along with a quintet of his musicians responding to Igor's poetry to create powerfully evocative sound tracks available for separate download and contained within the eBook editions. A Multi Media, Spoken Word & Music Performance Tour will happen later this year. 'From The Man Who Popularized The Graphic Novel, Something Else Entirely...' -Bleeding Cool View Trailer
