Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, under the leadership of Executive Director Stacie Burgua, presents Rabbit Hole, by David Lindsay-Abaire. The production, directed by Chris Fisher, features Max Cole-Takanikos, Patricia Duff, Tom Harris, Jill Johnson, and Melissa McAlerney. Performances will begin at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Avenue, on Friday, April 10 and continue through Saturday, April 25.

Profiles Theatre continues its 20th Anniversary Season with the acclaimed new dark comedy The Wonderful World of Dissocia by Anthony Neilson, directed by Profiles Associate Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. The production runs March 26 - May 10, 2009, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 8:00 p.m.

Members of the Shrek cast are set to celebrate the release of the Broadway muscial's original cast recording on March 25 at the Columbus Circle Borders. Brian d'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Daniel Breaker, Christopher Sieber, nd John Tartaglia will be present to sign CDs at 6:00 pm.

The DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd production of SREK THE MUSICAL opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on December 14, 2008. On March 24th, the highly anticipated Original Cast Recording will be released by Decca Broadway.

Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden star in GOD OF CARNAGE, the new play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by Matthew Warchus, opened on Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45 Street), Sunday March 22. Nobel Laureate Alan Heeger (2000, Chemistry) will present playwright Anna Ziegler with the 2008 STAGE International Script Competition prize on April 11 at The Fountain Theatre. The prize, accompanied by a $10,000 check, will be bestowed during a short ceremony at 8 pm, immediately prior to a performance of her winning play, Photograph 51.

Washington Irving classics include The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but he wrote other scary stories. Fans of the most ghostly ones will have a chance to see them brought to life when South Coast Repertory's Junior Players present Gold in the Bones - Three Haunted Pirate Tales by Washington Irving, adaped by Eric Coble, in the Nicholas Studio March 28-29 and April 4-5.

Due to demand for tickets on the weekend, SHREK THE MUSICAL begins a new performance schedule this week with added performances on Sunday evenings. SHREK THE MUSICAL opened at the Broadway Theatre on Sunday, December 14. The original cast album will be released by Decca Broadway on March 24th.

South Coast Repertory today announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Goldfish, a life-affirming comedy about love lost and found written by John Kolvenbach. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Loretta Greco, Goldfish will run from March 15 through April 5, 2009 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.
